ARTID: Creative Artistic Exercises as Didactic Support in Adult Education

ARTID ist ein transnationales Projekt auf EU Ebene, das die Potentiale kunstpraktischer Aktivitäten für die Erwachsenenbildung herausarbeitet und erschließt. Beteiligte PartnerInnen sind Erwachsenenbildungsstätten in Deutschland, Nord-Irland, Litauen, Italien und Österreich. The AAE is a private interdisciplinary adult education institution which offers education and training in art, pedagogy, drama & dance, therapy and social skills to members of different age groups. In these areas, it focuses on the aspects of personal development and social learning. It uses practical research and artistic exercises in all training measures to promote the general competencies of young adults as well as elderly people. Especially in the context of education projects it also interacts with partners from the social, economic and political sector to develop training courses that address contemporary social problems. The AAE focuses on and has experiences in organising adult education courses and trainings that include artistic elements to deal with relevant social questions. The educational challenges of an ageing population challenge society and ask also for comprehensive forms of exchange and learning between young and elderly people.
